The Virginia Beach City Public Schools Pre-Kindergarten program is provided at no cost to at-risk preschoolers who, for the 2016-2017 school year, will be four years old on or before Sept. 30, 2016. MINECRAFT CLUBminecrafthouse

This year Mrs. Harrison, the Instructional Technology Specialist, sponsored three Minecraft after school clubs. Each club will had between fourteen and twenty members. The first group was for fifth graders only, the second for third/fourth grade combination group, and the final for a first/second grade combination. A fee of $5.00 was collected from participating students to pay for the licenses for MinecraftEDU. Sign ups were announced on My School Mail and registration was first come, first served on a Google form. The link was placed in the Quick links section of the webpage during registration.

There may be more Minecraft clubs next year. Please be sure you are signed up to receive My School Mail. It is publised weekly on Friday afternoons.

The 3rd, 4th, and 5th grade students study the Soprano Recorder in music class. Students are required to have their recorders during all music classes. Parents, please encourage your children to take their recorders home for practice and then remember to bring them to class on their designated music day. Thanks for your continued support of the music program.
